The fit and finish is excellent. It is rugged but doesn't have the busy, over-the-top military look of some similar cases. It's a very clean design. The Apple 2nd Generation Pencil fits well and charges when stored. The rotating, adjustable hand strap works perfectly for my intended use as a replacement for a choir folder. The only minor glitch is unless you're double-jointed, the recessed access for the on/off button probably won't read your finger print unless you use your right thumb with the iPad in a horizontal position. (It's too soon to evaluate durability, but it looks promising.)

Fit my airpads 5th generation ok. The back stand sometimes folds when trying to stand the iPad. Could be better. The iPad moves away from the vol buttons over time and must be adjusted. The covers for the pen didn't allow me to charge the pen, acted as an insulator, so I can't use them. No big deal. I like these.

I needed a non-droppable, black case for choir and this works very well. Very secure fit and pencil slot.
